Hi Fishes, Any senior staff engineer here, role associate project manager at Nagarro. I would like to know more details about project allocation and work you do. I recently got selected as one. I can see a lot of heat from developers against nagarro here but what about mid level management such as associate project manager!??
TIA

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

No. Culture is toxic af.
Been here three weeks after the GT acquisition. The people have been so welcoming and collaborative. I have nothing but good things to say so far!
I think like anywhere else a lot depends on your team and account you land. However, I have heard from multiple friends that’s toxic culture exists stemming from PWC legacy days. Additionally, upward mobility seems to be subjective and not transparent, and raises are small.
Re: exit opportunities, I had colleagues go to Deloitte, AWS, and BofA. I’d say overall the exit opportunities are good, but also be a mixed bag.
If you are an engineer (not sure what kind), you could potentially be filling a niche contract area. I would say ask questions around the duration of the current contract, how recent was the win, how long expected to last (current end date and possibilities of extension) and where else can they bill you in case they lose the current contract for any reason being your control. At any consulting firm, you need to meet a minimum tranche of client billable work to fulfill your responsibilities. This is called utilization - if you don’t miss it, you will face future consequences. Especially for niche areas, it becomes quite hard to meet utilization. But as long as you’re open to other kind of work and are able to make utilization, you’re good.
Agree this sounds very niche. Been at the company a while and this is the only time I’ve heard of someone doing product analysis/testing
Can't speak from an engineering perspective, but I'm in the advisory practice and it's not bad but it's not great. If you're remote and you like the comp, take it because it's easy. Culture is honestly great but the org structure is extremely chaotic because of the acquisitions and needed transitions. It makes communication a bit messy and in my time here I've seen a pretty high employee turnover - new jobs not fires
Interesting. We can take this to private chat if you’d feel more comfortable talking there, but how long have you been at Guidehouse? Are you looking to leave soon/what exit opportunities are you eyeing?
Been here for a couple years. Everyone has been great so far.
Culture is great
It varies a lot
