Valid question. The honest answer is that I am Indian w/ a family full of MDs. My parents will likely shit on the fact that I have a bachelors for their remaining years. I need to wear that black robe once more and get my cords so I can lower their stress levels and be an attractive marriage option for women I am not interested in. If this rationale sounds illogical, I commend your reading comp skills. You are correct.
Great option
Aww OP I've never seen anyone thank someone for replying. You must be gem 💎
Kellogg is one of the top programs in the country. And one of the few with a one year. If you already know what you want to do, why waste time and money on two years? I'm trying to pivot out of my current role and got into the 2 year program - debating K or booth at the moment!
@D1 the same way someone with a 680 or 780 gmat did. I applied.
Sure! Graduated from a top 20 undergrad. Have been in consulting since. Below average gpa and Gmat - goes to show you that anything is possible! Holding out for Wharton next week
Haha - well no one has to provide their opinions but I appreciate when you do!
Why do you need an MBA if you're just going to return to the same role and company
It's legit, just keep in mind that MBA is a tons of fun. Many 1Y's wish they had another year to enjoy Kellogg. It really is an awesome two years.
I did the 1YMBA @ Kellogg. Best option if your sponsored and going back. Sure you don't get the 2 year vacation but ROI is much better
right on - well congrats to you on your remaining schools and your final choice! If you have any intriguing tips on how you wrote essay / crafted story that would also be much appreciated!
Thanks for reply and good to hear. Why do you think so?
@ EY - awesome. Congrats on both acceptances and hope you can make the switch.
I will be applying in fall after I take my GMAT this summer. If I have three promos @ Accenture strategy; 3.6 gpa; good recs; 720+ plus GMAT do you think this would be competitive for northwestern?
Would appreciate your stats if willing to share. Will help provide a blueprint :)
Agree with everything that @EY1 said on Kellog and the 1 year program. I hope to be in the same position as @EY1 next year, EY1, would you mind sharing your stats? (Gmat, undergrad, etc.)
What was your GMAT?
700
No one paid attention to "attractive marriage option" part???
OP - I feel your pain. Fellow Indian here marrying an MD 💪
We are in this together A1 💪🏽
Ey1 how'd u get in with a 700 gmat?
