Required no, does it help, yes. But and there’s a big but, an MBA outside of top 7/15 won’t really help you at all
No.
No, I was an experienced hire from another consulting firm too.
Would any individuals currently working at McKinsey be willing to provide a referral for me? I am actively seeking new opportunities and believe my skills and experience would be a valuable addition to the company.

No, an MBA isn't absolutely required, but you should get a top 10 MBA to have a good chance of getting in.
Getting into MBB requires a lot of savvy, and preparation/legwork informed by that savvy. I'm not trying to put you down, but frankly, if you are asking such a basic question, you almost certainly lack the savvy needed to have a reasonable chance of getting in today, even with a referral. Either take the next few months or more to build that savvy so your chance of actually getting into MBB goes from like 0.01% to 1%, or go to a top business school, where your chances are more like 50-60%.

OP should be made aware of what is involved in accessing the opportunities they're interested in. By letting them know the bar is high and they're likely not ready, they are hopefully spurred to act by doing more research, networking, resume review, case prep, etc.
No not at all - apply!
It is for you.
