Yes. I don’t combat it.

They offshored my job to someone that wasn’t distracted by their phone
Problem solved
Yes. I don’t combat it either. I accepted my fate long ago. At the end of the day where else can I get my instant gratification? Excel spreadsheets? PowerPoint slides? No tnx!
If I have my phone within reaching distance, I end up grabbing and scroll through it when I'm waiting even just 5 seconds for something on my computer to load before I even realize I've started doomscrolling.
So I keep my phone on the other side of the room while I work.
I realized I wasn’t just addicted to my phone, I also had ADHD. I couldn’t concentrate on work even after I did all the tips and tricks to minimize notifications and distractions, etc. I started seeing a psychiatrist and got officially diagnosed after a few sessions/tests. It’s literally a 180 for me from a year ago.
EY5. That’s exactly what I had. I thought “I didn’t get anything done today, I’ll just go to bed and then wake up early in the morning and get it done.” That never happened lol.
Yes
I don’t really use my phone for much anymore. I deleted most of my apps, social media, YouTube, etc. because I wasn’t using it for anything useful. Would just scroll for hours looking at nothing. I now use my phone to text my wife and check fishbowl periodically. My screen time went down a ton. Obviously isn’t very fun and not for everyone but I do get more done at work now because I have no choice but to work because nothing fun is on my phone haha.
I put an hour-long meetings on my calendar for focus time (mark myself as busy). Then I turn my phone off and work. Then I turn it back on, check for voicemails & texts, set a timer for a 10 minute phone break, then I repeat the meeting process. That way if someone can't reach me, they can see that I'm "busy" in Outlook.
I leave my phone in another room when I need to focus.
Pro
You could always try putting it down while you work.
Make it so everything is black and white under settings
Anykne else try the Brixk?
Go to office
Yes. Delete apps or sign out, if I have to wait to open it even a couple of minutes it makes me stop to think if I really need to scroll.
