Because CA politics ruined it. Too woke to clean up after the homeless and drug addicts who seem to take over the city.
But raising taxes.

Yeezus*
Politics killed SF. Horrible place to be, homeless everywhere, income disparity off the charts, poop and needles. And for some reason people are leaving there and trying to enact the same things that made it the way it is today. Insane.
Agreed. I live in SF right now and wish I could get out of here. Don’t get me wrong, the nature is amazing but the cons outweigh.
Great city. So much to love. Has some issues but have been very happy here for 10 years. Many of the people who talk shit on SF don’t live there or haven’t. Tons to do in normal times and easy as hell to get out of the city and explore incredible spots all over Northern California.
Do not move to SF. Look at Oakland if you’re going to work on the Bay Area
I mean you should have a car in SF either way
Lol it’s funny how perceptions flip so quickly, I used to hear only positive things a few years ago - “weather is always pleasant, amazing networking opportunities in tech, you can hike, ski and go to the beach in one day”
Nowadays, I only hear bad things about SF like what is mentioned in the other comments.
I mean the homeless issue has always been a problem.
I love it! Would like to move back someday. I live in London now and the comparative lack of hills made me gain weight faster than expected. 😂
