Is there a fixed asset software that isn’t complete dogwater? Or do we all just accept to live like this?

Well my friend, there’s a software produced by PwC. It’s great because you just send the GL detail and they put it in their fancy software. Only $40-100k/year depending on number of assets.

Deloitte’s fixed asset software is great but pricey

Yes there is

Yes, it's called Bloomberg

Bloomberg is significantly better than fixed assets CS and Sage FAS

Nah all are Dogwater.

CCH has a product called Fixed Assets Manager, originally developed by Redmoon and bought by CCH. It’s an older interface but the volume is massive, unlimited entities and books and up to 500,000 assets.

500,000 fixed assets isn’t enough? Ok

I have a tax question. My father in law passed away in 2020 and we inherited his house. We are still in the probate process and we haven't got the house title. However, we have been paying the mortage and interest since we inherited the house. We filed the tax return for deceased person last year. Can we claim the mortgage interest deduction this year on our joint return (even though the 1099 will have my father in law's name)? Really appreciate any help!
