Is there a limit to PwC PTO that can be carried from one year to the next? I had 176 hours but it's carrying over 112.

Is IBM really that terrible of a firm that you don't even get to roll over any pto?

like

Aren't these the questions that you can ask your HR and get an actual policy detail? Or find on your benefits website?

like

Your max vacation balance is 176 hours, this is the max amount that can be accrued and is the max that can be carried over

Holidays / floating holidays do not carry over

like

Your PTO carries over? 🤣

like

Normally we don't have a carry on concept instead how it works is that the maximum you can have at any point is 176. If you reach that and haven't used any then you just stop accruing till you use some. If you are at say 150 or even 170 at the end of the year it should be same in the new fiscal year

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?

I just picked up a new freelance gig after coming out (again 😮‍💨) but professionally and they're really respecting my pronouns! They did a whole thing where they're having people add their pronouns to their email signature too 🥰

They never make a deal out of it and if they mess up they correct and move right along. They're from the Midwest and some of the team is older too so its really nice 😅

Just wanted to share the good news and say it very much is possible to have people respect them☺️

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Would anyone that has moved from Big 4 to MBB be willing to chat for 15-30 minutes? I’m hitting a point where I am enjoying consulting (advisory) but I’m not sure the idea of narrowing in on a specific industry and exact skillset appeals to me. Seems like MBB is broader and I’m curious (also not assuming I could even get in, but I want to explore the option).
