Is there a one-size-fits-all rule when it comes to CTC vs YOE ?

As in I've heard that, if YOE=X then CTC upto 2X or 2.5X would be considered reasonable/decent.

Are there other variables, or other thumb rules to keep in mind?

I want to be at peace with whatever I make without looking at others salaries. Having a barometer would help me to not look around and compare.

I am a Chartered accountant and truth be told given the current times CA is a really low incentive education any potent person can get. Today I see engineers barely with a few years of experience earning lakhs per month. Whereas me despite being in the right place at the right time is working hard 10-11 hours each day even today. We as a forebearers of this profession must really rise together

Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). This is the initial offer; where is there room for negotiation? Base or Sign on Bonus or RSUs? I realize it's a good offer, but I'm looking for: $225k base + existing sign on + 5500 RSUs. Does that sound like a decent counter?
