Is there a polite way to tell a recruiter on LinkedIn that the target comp (based on Glassdoor) is one you’d never take?

“That is well below the range I am targeting.”

like

Why would you? Just ask what the comp is. Anything else invites a conversation where they ask you your target.

like

Ty E1!

Maybe just ask for expected TC? I always do early on with recruiters to make sure I’m not wasting time.

like

Agreed principal. In your favor to ask vs state your expectations.

Do you find Glassdoor comp range to be accurate?

You’d be surprised

Deloitte ranges for titles seem to be totally off… as in, show as way lower averages. Unless I’m an outlier, in a good way of course. I’d give them a chance to clarify the comp range before you say it’s out of range based on a third party site

What’s the best way to negotiate more money during a contract to FTE conversion? My manager and I had the conversion convo today and he said he’d like to convert me immediately and took the action item to do so. In terms of comp he said they should already have what I’m expecting but I don’t think I communicated any FTE number to my contracting company. In this job market with all the layoffs, should I count my blessings and take what I can get or is there wiggle room.
YOE: 10

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.

I don't want to quote something Out of Budget for Siemens, but also don't want the Hike% to be too low.. Want to strike a Balance..

The sign on doesn’t cover the year end bonus with a gap of 18K. Otherwise, I want to accept the offer. How would you approach this conundrum?

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:

This question is quite broad and subjective but would love to hear some thoughts. For a couple with family income of about 60 LPA in India, is it wise to move to Canada/UK via the PR route? I have seen no matter how much experience you have, it's usually about building up from scratch.
