Downside to boomerang is you still won’t like the work . Might as well pursue something else. But if you just need quick money, it’s not a bad idea at all. Depends on your priorities
Well its a different practice, so hopefully the work is better
Most homegrown talent is underpaid relative to external hires. Your numbers don’t seem out of whack compared to what external hires would ask for.
If you had stayed at Deloitte and gotten GSAP for example and did MBA, you’d be coming back now at like $180-200K all in with signing, bonus, etc.
I already make $140,000 working at Slalom where I haven’t worked over 40 hours once since joining 3 years ago. I could likely make more if I went elsewhere but the work life balance is so good that I haven’t pursued elsewhere. I have a few dozen Deloitte friends and many of them are doing 60-70 hour weeks and make like $20,000 more.
I left D for EY and I went from C/$72 to SC/$140. I don’t think D would beat $140 for an SC so I got my paycheck without having to boomerang back. I actually would like to boomerang back but I don’t think I can get a substantial raise to make it worth it
I would be going into D Cyber and i don’t think they would pay me M money for a SC role 😂
Do you mean June 2021? Something seems off with the timeline otherwise and I am not following.
Masters or MBa
If you don't mind sharing, what practice were you in to start and what practice did you jump into when you came back?
I'm starting with D in a couple weeks, so I'm trying to get a feel for how these things work.
Digital Customer to Human Capital
I boomeranged from PwC to a boutique firm for 6 months. I came back this month to a 45k raise and a 10k signing bonus. I did trade out my title bump. I left 6 months ago as an Ex Associate and coming back as an A3. I was an SA at the boutique firm.
I was at the AC but worked exclusively with the team I just joined. The transition to this team took a bit longer than I liked so I left then rejoined formally in Advisory.

How many YOE,
Are you MBA or Masters
Wouldn’t you have received a comp increase October 2019? Deloitte was definitely promoting folks and paying then....
Nope. I missed the cutoff, because year ends in April and bump is in Sept/Oct
That’s a great offer for 4 yoe
What are tier 3 firms? Can anyone provide some examples?
Rising Star
Big 4, for example.
That you will work at Deloitte
So,,, I’m watching all of my good HPs leave and getting amazing increases….
Manager 10+yrs exp, know Oracle, SAP, Adaptive, most all processes, current $170K, I’d like to work 5 more years until my side hustle picks up.
Considering another B4 or ACN or similar… not a fan of the independence BS as I’m starting more side hustle and other diverse investments.
