I just did this exercise. I had to choose between two agencies (big and small) and client-side. Aside from salary, I weighted out;
What are the responsibilities of the role? Will they strengthen a skill I want to learn/hone?
What will the day-to-day look like?
How do I fit intellectually with the company?
Can I learn from the people I interviewed with?
In 5 years, does this give me skills or a network strong enough to continue my career successfully? (e.g. brand name strength)
Vacation time, benefits you need (dental, medical), any other perks you might want (tuition reimbursement). Compensation outside of salary can change how comfortable other things in your life are.
