Is this a good way to handle a salary question? The recruiter asked for my salary expectations during our introductory call, so I used the market value framework. I told her: Based on my research for similar Senior SRE roles delivering this level of work, I’m targeting packages that reflect the current market value of X-X, but I’m flexible depending on the total compensation mix. Can’t tell how that went over.

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?
