Push back. That’s not standard for freelancers. Maybe it is for vendors.. but even then you can push back.
Standard for mid sized places in still 30. Small, I’ve found can be all over the place and large I avoid because they are the worst when it comes to finding new and innovative ways to nickel and dime you. Let them know you’re not happy, tell them that’s not the norm for your client roster and leave it at that while you focus on finding new clients that respect you better.
Not cool. But not surprising given the steady decline in human decency in our industry…
I’ve had Net 60 before. There was no pushing back.
Ugh Chobani did that Net 60 shit and it was more like Net 90 because I had to fight to get paid. I will never freelance for them again.
The money needs to be in-house from the client before they can pay you. Net terms for the clients is usually 30 days. The agency is allowing a cushion to pay you at Net 60 in case the client is slow to pay.
What does Net 30 mean?
Thank you
They can do what they want.
Net 30 is standard and net 60 is brutal but yeah, they aren’t gonna bend for you
Tell them that doesn't work for you. I've had places say ok or switch me to part-time payroll when I pushed back
