Is this normal...?

My AD and I are a team, joint website, CV, LinkedIn...you name it. We’ve been approached by a talent partner from a big agency for a team opportunity there. After deciding to hear more about the opportunity and going through the first interview with the CDs, they get back to us anbout only looking to hire one of us, with a follow up e-mail to the personal inbox (not the team’s joint one).

Why go through the trouble in using the team contacts if you only wanted one of us?

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.

I had my Assessor interview this past week and received a pre-screening questionnaire that asked about dual citizenship status. Because I don't even have a passport for the country I am a dual citizen for, I didn't even think about the possibile complications this could lead to with my application. I applied through a career fair at school and didn't see the citizenship requirements, so I guess that's on me.

Born in the US and lived here all my life. Am I screwed regardless?

Advice pls. We got our greencard and now my spouse can work. My spouse has been unemployed for more than 2 years. And we noted that it is difficult to get more job interviews and get an offer. My spouse is into programming and has Masters Any suggestion how my spouse can increase chances of getting hired (e.g. get training certifications, apply as trainee, or probably you can refer me to companies who are considerate for immigrants). Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!

I just got called about a job on Thursday, showing interest. They’re already back in the office so the job would require me to be. Said they’re classified as an essential business because most of their advertising is for healthcare. Is this a hard red flag? Really Seems like it.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
