Hi all, I was on a break in my carrer and now I got an offer from Deloitte as part of their encore program.as per the offer letter its a 16 week on job training ,post that I will get confirmed. Any one know about this process and how tough it is.i have other normal offers also now, but wish to be a part of deloitte.is it good to leave other offers and join Deloitte for this training? Suggestions plz, if anyone is aware of encore program

I had been in your shoes. I had opted for Corporate parental insurance. However, please hear an alternate perspective as to why you should not go with a corporate policy for your parents unless you foresee major medical expenses in the upcoming 1-2 years.
You would not stick with this company forever. Some corporate medical policies are good, some are bad. So you cannot predict if the next one would be equally good or better.
Additionally, nowadays, 2L, 3L, 5L are bare minimum coverage since the medical expenses have sky rocketed.
Hence, I recommend investing in an external medical policy even if it has a 2 or 3 years waiting period. Invest in a good policy, declare all pre-existing ailments and get a good coverage limit. You would thank me after 2-3 years when your parents would be covered for all ailments.
P.S. The current corporate rates you have shared are expensive and you would be able to get an external policy at a slight premium.

This is expensive, however unfortunately parental top-up insurance usually have expensive premiums, possibly because no prior testing is done, to check pre-existing conditions, at their (older) age in an employee plan top-up.
And yes, the premiums mentioned are usually per parent. You can take medical insurance from HDFC Ergo or Star and compare whether that is cheaper/better than this company policy.
You can cover if they are not covered elsewhere because beyond 60 it's difficult to get health insurance. This should still be less than buying outside anyway.

I got top up of sum assured of 7lac with adding 2 parents at around 12-13k

My company is providing insurance till 5L for self + spouse + parents for free and also if you want to increase the cover, for total 15L you just have to pay extra 15000.

See I will share my experience for this u need to pay 17700 rs for mom and 17700 for father and coverage is 2lpa and u can opt more via choosing 21 or 25 with ,3/5 lpa .
Thing is it's 80/20
20% anyhow you have to pay rest 80% company
If you go outside remember helath issues like BP sugar or prolonged disease are not covered for 1st 2 years so if ur parents has those ur premium is of no use .
But in company it's not the case it's all covered regarding of any disease and no age bar ,so choose wisely.

True that, even I'm a believer of going with company policy but the premium this time has shot up like anything, with my ex employer it was much better, which led me to compare both these, but of course that's an unreasonable comparison.
