It seems that fast food companies are catching on to the idea that there is a general demand for cheaper food nowadays.

I agree- i wonder how much theyre paying him as well
While McDonald's (and other fast food companies) are becoming more expensive, isn't that a reflection of how things - in general - are becoming more expensive? I don't think any of this is very different to what's been done previously
Yeah it totally is. I don't doubt that they're taking advantage of everyone's perceptions of inflation prices though too. It's interesting.. i feel like fast food is barely much cheaper than other, even local, restaurants these days. I can spend $15 at a fast food place, or $18 for a nicer fast casual meal that is way more nutritious and satisfying. I'm doing that every time.
Lol everything really does inevitably come full circle, doesn't it? I haven't eaten there since I was a broke college kid, so the idea of a McDonald's value menu being some special thing is hilarious to me. Everything on its menu should be a good value.
It makes sense for McDonald's to jump on the trend of people complaining about inflation. What's odd about it is that the people who eat that stuff have been happily paying higher prices because they're too lazy to cook or even shop for better food that would be much more economical. So sure, get a wrestler to now convince them they're saving money. What a world we've created.
McDonald's prices have less to do with inflation and more to do with people deciding they wanted pretzel buns surrounding their burger. 😂
Not everyone eating at McDonald's is doing so because they're lazy or can't/don't want to cook. There are still a surprising number of apartments without actual, working kitchens.
McDonalds really did seem to lead the more pricier fast food options, although not many others were far behind. The quality is the issue, when a hamburger was a single dollar or two, it is what it is. When you are paying 20$ or so, you really are better off going elsewhere.
I have eaten at McDonald's maybe two or three times in the last 5 years. If I've ever gotten it, it's grabbing a breakfast sandwich while I'm on a long road trip. Their coffee and breakfast menu has really become their leg up on competition.
