The BA role seems to be a growing function at least for now. Another avenue is dev ops. Proficiency withapplications that manage changes like flosum, Gearset and GitHub. If you have a product marketing background or pricing then CPQ is a path too.
I wouldn’t say it’s not enough to be employable, however it will be quite difficult. The rhetoric I see on LI of “Come learn Salesforce in 6 months and get a six figure job easy!” Is the problem.
BA, PAB, and the various cloud specific certs are great starts, but one should also create their own Dev org to use as a living portfolio to show they can do the work, not just pass a test.
Definitely just get the entry certs first, I’d say at least a few are required for a solid entry role- and then build a portfolio in a dev org and highlight it on your resume. Will be golden
Really hot focus areas are manufacturing cloud, Field Service, and CPQ. Finding a solid FS resource is like mining for gold.
