I've accepted a new job that begins in about a month. In the meantime, I'm slated to start a new project on Monday, but I’m concerned about joining and then having to leave before the project ends. I don’t want to put the team in a tough spot (and I don’t really want to work). At the same time, I’m not ready to formally resign from Accenture yet since I want to continue receiving pay for the next few weeks

Suggestions for how I might avoid joining this project without putting in 2 weeks notice?

Anyone has knowledge of EY structured finance group? WLB? Client base? Team culture? Exit opportunities?

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. So physically and mentally tired, I don't know how long I can keep up with work anymore. Told my senior management that I'm burning out, only to be blessed with another secondment. I now have two going at the same time, plus other client work, new business work, and managing scroundels.

My manager continues to ask me to help other teams and do work on other billable projects. I’m sick of it .. and I’m going to explicitly say that no I can’t do it because my hours are taken by the existing project we are doing. Is this appropriate?
