I've always been a senior-level copywriter but I'm trying to move into a managing or directing role. A portfolio is usually required and it's usually requested by link; while I figure out an easy professional website option, I've got a portfolio on Canva. If you're in charge of hiring a content/copy manager or comms director, how much does it matter what the portfolio looks like vs. the writing samples on it, and are you turned off by the free standard Canva URL?

I don't know if this is a recent change but I’m seeing postings for junior copywriter/community manager roles. Have these roles always been attached or posted at a junior level? Is this merged role worth considering as someone young in the industry with more traditional intern and freelance copy experience.

Would a full time copywriter salary be higher for client side vs. agency side? Debating with a couple friends on it. Some say same. Some say lower at each. NYC. I know there are variables but...

Thoughts about going back and forth between agency and in-house? Is it a good/bad idea? Is it even possible?
