I've been an account manager at a small ad agency for two years, where I've been managing all client communications and creative feedback. I do enjoy it, but I feel I'm stagnating and ready for a new challenge in media planning. My boss, who is also the agency owner, seems comfortable with me in my current role, though. Should I stick it out a while longer or start looking at ways to move my career in a new direction?

What matters more early in your career, agency name recognition or project experience?

Who else started with small businesses and moved up to medium and large at agencies structured to handle it? I handle 40 clients and some 60 Content managers, ad managers, designers, developers, and a smattering of other positions.

Which was better? I have almost complete autonomy over what happens with small biz, but getting to focus on projects for more than an hour/month sounds nice.
