I've been at my company for a few years, and aside from a end of year bonus the first year I was there, have never been given another bonus or a pay raise. I'm definitely overdue for one, but with all of the layoffs in the tech industry, I'm worried about asking at this point. Should I just be grateful to still have a job and wait for a more stable economic time to ask? Or do I carry on like business as usual and just ask because I'm long overdue?

I would definitely interview at some places. Not receiving a rate increase for several years is not a good sign. At least this way you can do market research on what you are worth.

I agree with Google 1. Search for another job in what you want and ask for your desired rate. Using this as leverage to get the raise you want will help you or if not then at least you have a new job opportunity that you enjoy

I'm a tax attorney and my gf works in the food industry. She had to move out west for a year, with the plan of moving back to Chicago.

We are six months away from moving back in together but her parents are really weird about it. They are from California and come from a really close family.

Every time I see them or my girlfriend talks to them, they mention wanting her to be closer. I take it so personally.

Living on the west coast is an absolute deal-breaker for me.

Associate Consultant 1

In the offer letter it's mostly mentioned HR band which is different from this, HR band is just the seniority level as per the org structure just for the reference for HRs.
