I’ve been interviewing for a position that is a dream job in terms of flexibility, culture, leadership, and future opportunities from what I can see from the interview process. However, the salary is $30K less than what I make now. I am comfortable where I am now but I don’t see a bright future with this company. I’ve received tremendous development by the company but absolutely no room for growth and I’ve been here over 5 years. Should I stay or should I go?

Go. You have done well there, but if no light at the end of the tunnel, back out of that tunnel and get on another track (that back out is some of that $30K). Get in somewhere you are equally appreciated, yet also has flexibility and culture (let alone opportunities) that make for a bright light to head towards (the rest of the $30K).

Hi Fishes, need help.
I recently switched a company 3 months back in India. Now I have got an interview coming up from a company for Dublin Ireland location. What should I respond, if the interviewer asks, why I am leaving my current company in just 3 months.

Need acceptable responses in such situations. Thanks in advance.

So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. I always lacked the hardware side and thought this was a good move but I feel like I’m losing my digital skills and don’t enjoy the work. I’m in it for 7 months now.

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

Starting off my career as a tech adjacent generalist (strategy, project management, etc). Nothing crazy specific, just what should I keep in mind early on?

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. It’s like they don’t know what to say or I make them feel awkward so they don’t bother…I’m trying to focus on a few that have been supportive but it’s hard…Any words of advice? 😞

Would greatly appreciate input from others.
