Hello! Question for anyone that works at Google if I have hit my 3 applications per 90 days can I still apply to an additional role through a referral link? Or will I have to wait until the 90 days is up? Actually asking for a friend that doesn’t have this app 😊 thanks in advance for any insight.

Go for it! You can always come back to consulting
I did my post doc at Cambridge so I have a fairly good sense of how some of the programs there are. Did my PhD in the US (Columbia, not Harvard, but similar at least). The two systems are very very different so think about that before you go in. If you want to pursue the academic route after your PhD, go to Harvard. The program is longer but for good reason; you come out of it much more developed as a researcher. If you just want the credential, go to Cambridge. It’s faster (3 years) and much less independent but it’s still a great brand name for the business world. But in academia British PhDs aren’t viewed as positively because the programs are so short that the graduates are viewed as needing a lot more hand holding.
Also you probably already know this but the Harvard PhD won’t cost you tuition (and you may even earn a stipend depending on your program) whereas Cambridge tuition is very high and you won’t be earning money while you’re there.
Just a few things to keep in mind. Also “Cambridge” isn’t really a university so much as a group of colleges - depending on which college you got into your degree will have more or less prestige, at least in the UK.
Happy to DM thoughts if you’d like - I did the opposite and left academia for strategy
My dream is to go abroad so I would go for Cambridge but Boston is lovely
Depends on the field
