Hi all,
Does your organization have a good work-life balance, especially for IDs? Or do you know any such organisation? Currently I am working for more than 12 hours a day. I am a mother of one year old, hence, want to switch to the organization, which has less work pressure.

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Bluey is the GOAT. We also watch a lot of old PBS — Sesame Street, Bob Ross, etc.
He's not a bug fan of Bluey, surprisingly. The YMCA childcare room plays Bluey quite a bit, so I suspect he negatively correlates Bluey to that
Bluey. Buy whatever access you need to watch Bluey. It’s by far the best, kindest show for the little guys. My 6 year old still loves it.
But Caillou is soooo whiny.
Lol! After he watched a few episodes this week, his behavior undoubtedly changed. Whining has become instinctive, and he started calling/whining, "Mommy, mommy!" despite him always calling me mama.
Also my son likes broccoli a lot. Saw an episode of Caillou whining about not wanting to eat his broccoli, and that was the last straw.
Daniel Tiger and Bluey.
Little Bear
After 3 kids, I would say delete YouTube. You can find good stuff but there’s just so much garbage that the algorithm starts feeding. Disney+ and Netflix kids are our go-to, particularly Bluey and nature docs.
Yeah, I know YouTube is a slippery slope, but we just play it on the TV, not on any other screens, and it's on my account, not a kids profile. Once he and his baby brother are older, I'll probably invest in Disney+. We just resubscribed to Netflix recently, and I need to check out those options too
Caillou is such a hidden gem! I’m not sure if all of these are on YouTube, but here are a few that come to mind: Arthur, Between the Lions, The Berenstain Bears, Little Bear, Franklin, Sagwa, Dragon Tales, Clifford, Thomas & Friends, The Big Comfy Couch, The Busy World of Richard Scarry
A piece of advice: If this is YouTube Kids, trash it and just create a profile on your premium account if possible. YouTube Kids can be curated but due to the wonky metatags and sneak vids, you'll occasionally come across a wild AI video of cats melting into puddles or adult babies crying red tears or something wacky like that. I came across a Peppa Pig vid of her mother giving birth and dying in the hospital.
Anyways, here are my recommendations as a mom of a thriving toddler:
1. Number blocks
2. Alpha blocks
3. Super Why
4. Sesame Street
5. Elmo's World
6. Trash Truck
7. Daniel Tiger
8. Pink Fong
9. ChuChu TV
10. Bluey
Llama llama is good
We’ve recently discovered Little Einsteins, such a cute show. Not sure if on YouTube!
Bluey and we loved trash truck on Netflix
We like give a mouse a cookie on prime video
For Caillou, my wife would say ‘fck no!’. Low stim ones we watch are little bear, Daniel tiger, cloud babies( I’ve started saying Cloudy pop unknowingly during client meetings btw).
Everyone is sleeping on one of the best ever - Word World!
I just so happened to explore this show first, and it's a really big hit. Thanks!
Daniel tiger and If you give a mouse a cookie are both great - good messages and keep their interest. I love bluey, but the super short episodes get you trapped in the “just one more” cycle too easily
Definitely NOT "Barney". We outlawed that show in our home after we saw it brainwash our nephew. We liked Dora. There are Dora satires on social media that are not suitable for kids, but amazingly hysterical for grown-ups.
A kid with a goofy voice, and Barney paraphernalia all over his room and clothing.
Bluey always and Bernstein Bears on YouTube
Tumble Leaf
Daniel Tiger
Trash Truck
