Bain & Company I’ve been recommended the book Valuation by Tom Koller to prepare for an application process to an MBB business analyst position in PE but I don’t think I have much time to go through entirely (2-3 weeks until my interview ,while also working). Have you used this book? Do you recommend it? Thx!!!

How much is the average time to complete recruitment process at Credit Suisse ? I started my process in July, I would have already joined another in the next month and they haven’t completed there process? I haven’t heard back from recruiter in last 3 weeks ? Does that mean i am rejected?
Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/ Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

It’s a great book but seems overkill for a BA interview. I would focus on the usual case prep and maybe get some practice at using some key concepts from the book in a case context. If somebody, especially at a more junior level, used ROIC to frame their case approach I’d be positively impressed.
Honestly BA the cases on the McKinsey we swore are great
Great book - but not sure how applicable it is to the work Bain does in PEG. Probably more applicable to IB or FDD folks. Agree with McK - focus on casing and putting some time into understanding the key components of PE consulting - which is primarily CDDs and VDDs.
You don’t need to be fluent in business valuation for case interviews. Just learn how to develop a framework and basic finance formulas like NPV.
