I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

It is an ultimatum. Don’t use it unless you’re willing to use it. Because they may call your bluff.
Tell them you’d love to stay but you got this offer you can’t ignore.
first of all, congrats on an offer 👏 second of all, yea what CD said

It’s an ultimatum and be prepared to leave if you use it.
I would go with the offer or at least be prepared to take it. I was grossly underpaid for many years at a job I thought I loved. Jumped, hated the new job and left after half a year. But it did pave the way for my career and doubled my salary within a year. Remember you’re never stuck anywhere and you should put your well-being and what you deserve first.
If you insist on them matching that salary, it is absolutely an ultimatum.
If you soften the message to "I have this other offer, but I'd rather stay here," there is little incentive for them to match that raise.
I wouldn't employ that tactic unless I was ready to make a move. Or unless you are a star, prized creative in the eyes of your ECD/CCO.
I think I would rather stay where I am but I am grossly underpaid, so I’ve been interviewing and received an offer from a place that I am not sure I would rather work at.
Is there a way to communicate this that isn’t as rough as saying pay me this or I’m leaving?
I need more money but think I want to stay.
