They'll go over all of this. OP, I promise you the best way to do well is to be baller at your role. Right now, focus on keeping your head down and mastering the shit out of what you do. The less oversight and supervision you need, the more likely you are to get a good review. If you're not even a day 1 employee, don't worry about the next step just yet. Besides, you just missed the review window anyway, so you'll have to wait until next year.
Senior analyst was a BS position they created to placate analysts whose promotion cycle was pushed back 6 months last year. In reality I believe it serves as a deceptive means of slowing the rise of new hires to consultant (and more $$$).
The salary increase is variable based on your OG, CSG, and OU. The way to do it is to look on the intranet at all the things that are expected of the level above you, and then do those things.
Thank you for your reply. What are OG, CSG, and OU? P.s. I haven't started yet, so the acronyms are new to me.
Gotcha. Thanks ACN1. I really appreciate it!
Really? Don't they get a pay raise?
They do. But it's minimal. The track from analyst to consultant used to be about 1.5-2 years and no promotion after year 3 was a path o the chopping block. 4th year analysts/senior analysts are very commonplace now
Wow
Acc 2 is right, happened to a couple of friends if mine, pay increase was very minimal. After the position was created, new hires get paid overtime
Yeah, paid OT was in my offer letter
I hope we actually get to use it though...
Hope you get a client that pays for it, in my experience it has been very uphill
I have never had a project lets me charge OT. Time to ghost hours
Ghost hours?
