Working in entertainment even agency side has its cons though. Prepare to have zero work life balance. Wait until your Disney client calls you up Sunday night at 11pm because they’re panicking for their presentation on Monday to their boss and need you to redo EVERYTHING.
This is also something I'm super interested in. In regards to in house, I wonder how much the actual work is done by the company and how much is agency partners? For instance, the new Netflix brand launch was done by Weiden, and the Apple TV/Severance grand central station stunt was done by Kamp Grizzly (though I didn't if kamp grizzly just produced it and the idea came from Apple)
Yes generally in-house teams end up doing more marketing work while agencies still get the juicy above-the-line ad campaign work (with exceptions though).
