I’ve been working at a secondary pharma wholesaler for around 8 years in an EVP role (from founding to multiple acquisitions), I was laid off a few months back and have had no luck finding a new job. Ideally I’d like to move into a role with a manufacturer or pharma-tech, does anyone have any advice on how to break into the manufacturing side of things? I’ve applied primarily to sales roles and have had no luck.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job
