I’ve been working in customer service for a while, but I’m ready to take the plunge into sales. I’m specifically looking at B2B sales roles, but the thought of prospecting and handling objections is a bit intimidating. For those of you who’ve made a similar switch, what’s your best advice for getting started? What should I focus on in the first few months, and what tools or training helped you build your skills quickly? Any tips for breaking into tech or SaaS sales specifically would be great!

Congrats on the transition! For B2B sales, start with understanding your target audience deeply and how your product solves their challenges. Sales calls can be intimidating, but remember to focus on solving problems rather than selling a product. For SaaS sales, I highly recommend learning about the tech stack and understanding how the solutions you sell integrate with other tools businesses already use.

I don't know as it's tough to get into SAAS without prior experience and Sales in General is a pressure cooker, since production is expected always, but for many folks it can be lucrative, but I never made all that much, but sales is all I know, so that's what I do ! It's a grind and if you want I can recommend a book that changed my life called The Greatest Salesman In The World by Og Mandino and his follow up book part 2

Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?
