I’m specifically looking at B2B sales roles, but the thought of prospecting and handling objections is a bit intimidating. For those of you who’ve made a similar switch, what’s your best advice for getting started? What should I focus on in the first few months, and what tools or training helped you build your skills quickly? Any tips for breaking into tech or SaaS sales specifically would be great!

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect.
Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?

Just accepted an opportunity as a district manager for an Insurance company. Not 100% sure about Commission-based only. Would love to manage in the sales world, and would love to travel on a weekly basis. Any advice or am I aiming for something unrealistic at the moment?
