I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It's not so much something you've missed, but perhaps give some thought about how to create a common theme. One good tactic is to work on the theme that you've grown as an employee over the past year. And you're not not the same worker you were when your pay was set a year or two ago. Try to inject that theme of progress and growth into the conversation, as subtly or as overtly as your instincts dictate.
That’s a good way to think about it, definitely going to talk about my growth in the role - thank you!
I always make sure to have all my accomplishments from the year in hand and ready. You have to be able to advocate for yourself since most reviews lead to a raise of sorts. Anything you are proud of I would include.
I’ve been starting to make this list, great idea!
