I've had a couple interviews at start-ups with very young CEOs whose backgrounds mainly stem from engineering. I don't know if it's me or if their egos are just through the roof. Horrible candidate experiences I've ever had in my life. Please tell me I'm not alone.

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money. I’m having my annual review this week. Any advice on how to handle a) job offer b) review?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor!
