I've never done any 401k business, but I understand I can become broker of record on existing plans. First of all, what does that mean? Do I just appear as a name on their statements?

Fish,

Does anyone know if H1B holders are eligible to take FMLA? I'm reading conflicting things online. I'm on an H1B (year 6 on H1B; GC filed and have an i-140 date) Need to take a few weeks off to take care of some medical issues with my toddler. I'm also going to be going on maternity leave in about 5 months (company offers it). I'm not sure if taking FMLA now would somehow impact my maternity leave. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

My wife will be starting law school next year at Harvard. School costs roughly $75k a year (3 years total) and we plan on taking out student loans. I currently make $120k. The last few years I’ve maxed out my 401k and Roth IRA but am wondering whether I should continue to prioritize maxing those out or minimizing/paying off student loans. I’m guessing the rate will be around 6% for grad loans. What balance should I strike between investing and paying down debt?
