While I value being responsive and our firm’s 98% client satisfaction rate reflects that, this 24/7 availability is becoming invasive. It’s starting to encroach on the limited time I have with my family. For those who’ve dealt with this, how do you set clear boundaries with clients without compromising the relationship or appearing unprofessional?

I’m a new analyst at a PE firm, and my associate keeps blaming me for things she does wrong. Like she will tell me I made the wrong change, even though she is the one who changed it. Or in calls with other people, she won’t take responsibility for things that she told me to do that the other person calls out as wrong. How can I handle this situation without making her mad but also not letting her step all over me?

I am seriously worried. I am doing my co-op and my supervisor is not giving me an easy time. What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.
