Hi Sharks, needs some insights. Currently am waiting for an official offer from Deloitte and Fractal as Data Scientist. I have 5 years of experience in Ai/ML, Python, Sql, AWS and GCP. Current CTC of 21 lakh (18+3). How much hike can I expect? Background of btech and MBA. Also among the two what would be a better choice, keeping aside the salary part? Deloitte Fractal

Yeah it’s holiday season, wouldn’t stress. Also, look on the bright side, the chances of both reneging is slim. Congrats
Thank you. Is it possible they renege or not give a written offer if you never give a verbal acceptance?

It takes a good bit of legwork to get it in writing and firms tend to not do it until you’ve verbally agreed.
Agree with SM1. I’ve been in situations where the recruiter wants a strong likelihood that you will accept before extending an offer. Probably tied to internal recruiting metrics
Normal. As others have said, it takes legwork to get the written out. Sometimes our approval process can take 2-3 days or more if it's a busy period or someone is OOO. Or even, if there is a condition around employment, such as being hired into a sold/funded role vs bench or investment. In that case, it might take a couple days to try and line up the immediate work.

I have had a couple of instances where they don’t give the written offer unless you verbally accept
