Is part time work in audit ever possible?
How do you guys make friends in a new town?
Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

VP full stack base can be negotiated to 150K, bonus can be pre-negotiated and usually stays the same or grows. Increment 3-6% depending on performance
Thank you!
I would inquire about the salary range, and what the non-based compensation for the role is: benefits, commissions, bonus, sign-on bonus, performance review cycle, if there is an annual cost of living increase.
My advice is negotiate for as close to what you want up front (when you're hired) - but being specific about "What is the salary range for this role and what variable compensation is included?" Do your research on this as well.
This should give you a rough idea of whether your ask is fair or not. But wait until you get an offer, ask for them to send it for you to review, and when you go back say "I'm really excited to work with JPMC, but I wanted to ask if this is negotiable?" ..say nothing until they answer.
At this point, you can then negotiate to where you want to be, and see what they say. Good luck!
Thank you!!
Doesn't the VP position qualifies you for the salary you are asking for? Why would HR ask for your pay stubs? It's illegal to do so, and you dont have to provide it. Also, check to see if your state is one of 21 that have salary bans. If so, then they shouldn't ask you. Know your rights.
Thank you for the insight!
