Just a year in my first role as data analyst at a big 4 but projects I’m assigned only involve simple research and analysis that any intern can do. Really wanted to use my first job to build more technical skills, but that’s not happening and my manager keeps apologizing for that but apparently there isn’t much they can do. Would you leave or spend a year more? (I’m quite junior and wonder if leaving after a year is bad on my resume )

I’m a junior litigation lawyer based in Windsor looking to lateral to corporate big law. I have been doing commercial litigation, tax litigation, and tax planning. I’ve done corporate reorganization, corporate structuring, rollovers so corporate would not be completely new to me. I did a solicitor rotation during articling and was involved with several m&a deals. Has anyone managed to make the jump from litigation in Windsor to Toronto big law corporate? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less.
