Some of the Blackstone roles are aimed at recent grads literally 1-2 years out. Can’t be helped.
Rising Star
It’s unfortunate but if you look at Blackstone’s online directory on LinkedIn, the portfolio ops roles are people all 1-3 years out of undergrad; Associates are recent MBAs. There is even a clear pattern of Harvard and Wharton grads getting most of the Analyst spots. The senior people are bankers who came from firms like Lehman or lawyers etc.
If it took someone 15 years to be prepared for a role I intend for 20 year olds, there is a good chance they are not and would never be truly prepared / capable
Sometimes people change careers when they're older and are completely qualified for the role. I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be allowed to ask for graduation date. It's another form of age discrimination.
When'd you graduate?
P1 - Or was a senior associate role. I was living abroad and in grad school until I was 30. Then I came back here and tried to get myself established. My career didn't really start till I was about 35.
With that said this title is old. I don't really think about titles as much as I think of job responsibilities and salary. The job I have now is kind of a stopgap job though within my general field, but at the company I was at before this me title was kind of inflated (Associate VP) but I was doing the same work I'd done at other larger, more established companies as a Senior Consultant.

4 hours isn't an auto rejection

Not saying someone didn't filter you out based on a response. Just saying I don't think you tripped one of the criteria that would automatically reject you.
Nah, prob just you
