I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I applied to google in 2019 and didn’t even make it to an interview. Reapplied in 2021 and here I am! Don’t give up
I got rejected from Meta (similar role that i got an offer from Google.) Rejection is tough! There's no way around feeling bad besides giving yourself a few days to have a pity party and then move on to the next opportunity. If not today, then tomorrow. Sounds cliche, but everything happens for a reason. Write down the process and get feedback on how you can improve.
One of my coworkers interviewed 7 times and ended up being a kick ass lead. It’s a gamble. I could have taken the interviews and failed 9/10 imo. I just got lucky the first time. I was prepared, and lucky.
they did a experiment giving a HC packets of each other or existing G’ers. Majority failed
Also went through the process in 2011 but didn't make it, but did when I reapplied in 2014. Not making it now doesn't mean never! Just that this one wasn't for you. X
Definitely would recommend continuing to apply as you gain additional experience. I am on my third time through the process, and have made it further each time I have interviewed based on the experience I gained previously. Still waiting to hear back on my final round this time, but hoping this is the time I am able to finally get the job!
You can ask for feedback! Take a day to feel disappointed and do what you need to do for your mental health then move on to the next opportunity. Congrats for getting the interview, still a great step!
most google SWE got in on 2nd or 3rd attempt or later.
youtuber Techlead took almost or around double digit attempts
Don’t get down on yourself! I’ve been through the process twice and didn’t make it past HC.
What was the role your interviewed for? Depending on the role, there is a path forward for you (as there was for me) to be considered for similar openings!
Can I message you ?
I was rejected earlier this year after on-sites during all the freeze talks. Tried to ask for feedback but never heard back from the recruiter again
I have been rejected numerous times. Mostly the opposite sex, but also once i applied at Maersk.
