Just found out kiddo number 2 is on the way. Need to prepare for switching to man on man defense, sell our home, find a new place to live, and try to get promoted all in the next 6-7 months. This should be fine right??????

In a lot of ways (logistically) the 2nd is harder, but in the most important ways (emotionally), i have found it to be a lot easier. It’s hard to conceptualize what life will actually be like with two, but you’ll adapt quickly and learn what’s a necessity and what isn’t, just like you probably did with the first. And as stated above, far worse off people make do with far more kids. You got this.

You'll be fine. Surprisingly things start just switching to autopilot and before you know it you'll be ready for number 3.

like

And from 4 they kinda raise themselves.

like

Number 2 takes a lot less effort to prep for. You’ll kill it.

like

That’s the supportive, metaphorical version of “kill it” in case that was unclear.

To give you some comfort. You were already playing man to man and didn't know it. One was the kid and the other one was all the other things in your lives that must get done. Now you actually be outnumbered. One will be trying to put one down for a nap or feeding, the other will be cooking lunch, and no one will be watching your oldest, or you will watch your oldest and your kitchen will stay a mess. Welcome to your new life. It's wonderful. Get we extra help asap

like

People far less capable than you have figured it out before, you’ll be fine.

like

Also, don’t put undue pressure on yourself. It’s ok if not all those things happen in the next 6-7 months. As long as baby and everyone else is healthy, the rest will come

like

2nd is infinitely easier, you got this

Congratulations!
Take it a little easy on work front. You are going to be busy at home

Just want to cry out here.🙃

I'm not good at my tech stack. I've somehow managed to perform all my tasks without any escalation/blunders but that also by some help/googling.
I also managed to switch from an Indian mnc to a reputed company and now also somehow cleared a FAANG interview, but i know I'm not much knowledgeable in my tech .

I often fail at some interviews badly.
Not sure till when I'll be able to carry forward by this and the hard wlb at FAANG companies is giving me a fear.

What career advice would you give to a 25 year old? I have my masters in nursing/FNP (1 yr) making <K70 (Indiana) due to low patient census in my role. No desire for a different FNP job nor to return to bedside nursing (RN 5 yrs). I have heard of some individuals with remote positions making >K100 with little to no experience in tech or consulting after doing a boot camp or cert?

Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I did that for almost 2 years before making the switch. I miss sales, though. Does anyone have any connections to companies looking? I have also considered a sales analyst role considering that I am moderately versed in Salesforce and have worked both the customer facing and sales generating side. TIA!
