When is the good time to tell the company that I am 3 months pregnant. My date of joining is 18th of July. I understand by law I need to finish 80days with the company before I avail maternity benefits which I can easily do in next 3 months.
I want to understand if women who go on maternity leave during probation are treated differently or if there will be discrimination once I let them know about my situation. Wipro Accenture Allstate Quantiphi analytics pvt ltd.

Congrats!!! My energy went out the window for at least 10 weeks. I think you just have to take it day by day and be okay with things not being the same for a while.
Same here. I’ll say I didn’t stop till I found out I was pregnant. Which was super early like a few days before I missed my first period. I talked to my doctor about taking adderall during first few weeks and they were like… lol everything is fine just make sure you exercise when pregnant and eat right then everything will be fine (but I’m very lucky in that I had an easy and totally healthy pregnancy and baby).
Congratulations!!!
I’ve been there too - currently 33 weeks pregnant after years of trying - and the beginning is so hard (for me, it was the anxiety/excitement/inability to focus, and then it was all compounded by extreme first trimester fatigue and mild nausea). I was definitely way off at work for the first couple months, and it got better after that but honestly I’m still not at 100%.
I try to give myself grace — I know I’ve put in my dues and helped my coworkers when they needed and that it’s my firm’s job to be able to cover for employees who can’t work, and my body is literally building a human (which is what I want to prioritize right now) so it’s completely normal that I’d be tired and not at full capacity and I’m working on accepting that.
Big changes for sure but they are so exciting too 🫶
Good reminders - thank you!! Congrats to you as well!
Congratulations! This is such exciting news. Your body is likely going to feel off for a while. Your hormones are going crazy. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a lot of grace during this time.
Thank you!
Congrats! For ~4 weeks after I found out most of my days were spent staring at a wall trying to keep my breakfast down. You’re going to feel weird but don’t let it stress you out - it’ll pass! Also if you need caffeine but can’t stomach coffee I suggest English breakfast tea—life changing for me during morning sickness
Good to hear - thank you!
Oh god, I was you. I slept under my desk multiple times first trimester. I also gained 50% of my body weight coming off of adderall bc I didn’t have any morning sickness and just a voracious appetite. And I exercised like a psychopath!!!
So the tip here is to leave yourself extra time to complete tasks and don’t get into the mindset of eating for two.
Yes good tips! Was the exercise just because?! Or did it help with something in particular? How was the adjustment post adderrall?
Omg I just found out this week too and have the same issues / worries re: being unproductive without my adderall! We can do it!!
Congratulations to you too!!
If it helps, I came off adderall for our three rounds of IVF and it was very rough. But after getting through the first couple weeks of being pregnant, I didn’t notice/miss the adderall much at all. Now back after mat leave and still off the addy for BFing and it is rough again. All that to say, for me at least the pregnancy hormones made the adderall much less necessary. I still did one coke zero per day for caffeine.
I started buying the Inito kits to track my hormone levels for this reason. At this point I can feel ovulation and know exactly what my hormones are doing anyway, but if you’re struggling with that I’d recommend. Good way of gauging where your estrogen levels are at on a day to day basis, especially if cycles have gotten irregular.
CONGRATS! You may just be adjusting to your new reality. It’s a process, take your time and enjoy!!
Thank you!!
You’ll adapt to lower coffee. Make sure you get something in your stomach when you wake up though - it will feel a lot better! I switched to one cup brewed and a Diet Coke in the afternoons. You can also do half caf espresso drinks.
Good tips - thank you!
Congratulations!! Things will get better!! Currently 24 weeks pregnant. Your health and baby are more important than any job. Just try to relax and enjoy the journey. It goes fast!!

Congratulations! Glad you’re excited - I had a panic attack when I found out I was pregnant (and we were trying too, lol it was just a big thing that hit me hard). You’ll be tired your first trimester but it should get better heading into the second. To help with morning sickness, keep something mild in your stomach at all times - I liked Goldfish and pretzels and I kept baggies of both everywhere, it really helped. There is also a company called Preggie Pops that sells hard candies that also help.
I was on the same diet my friend. Then I got pregnant and quit everything cold turkey. I was also juuling. Quitting the nicotine was the easiest part, I guess my body knew to protect itself and the thought of smoking made me sick. Honestly, first trimester is really tough. I don’t have any helpful tips other than telling you it gets better. Your body is adjusting to no amphetamines or caffeine and being pregnant and it will knock you out. I felt so much better during second and third and couldn’t believe my productivity levels while pregnant with no adderall. I drank the caffeine allowed per day (and I even had a glass of red wine with a fat bowl of pasta in the third). No one at work remembers when I was unproductive during first trimester. But now I have a perfect baby who is ahead of all his milestones. I’m back on caffeine nicotine and adderall (ugh I wasn’t strong enough to quite on my own behalf, turns out sharing a body with a baby is the only motivation strong enough for me) but the period of being unproductive was well worth it and I’m looking forward to getting pregnant again (before you all come at me… I’m trying to quit the juul ahead of time… and now…)
I guess so? I mean I definitely wasn’t as productive without it, I have adhd ya know…so I don’t think I’ll ever operate at a level I’d hope for without it BUT I was able to get in the swing of things enough to not make anyone upset with me at work haha, I take that as a win. You will adjust I promise, but I just can’t think of any techniques other than going in more walks that helped keep me zoned in and awake. I don’t think there is a technique, being pregnant is not an easy journey! Just focus on what you need first and don’t worry about what others think at work, they won’t even remember then you’ll be back on the sauce and slaving away at your desk before you know it (believe me…).
Congratulations! It can be a weird time, even if it was very much planned and super exciting. It's a big mental shift as well, and you start thinking and seeing things in a different way immediately. I remember with my first I felt awkward listening to the same music up loud and dancing in my car to a good song 🤣 you will adjust and find your comfortable spot again, with everything. Give yourself grace and time to figure out how you want to go about things. Perfectly normal to be distracted and unproductive at this point. You have a whole new world to start thinking and dreaming about. Enjoy it!! Very happy for you!
Thank you!!
Congrats! You’ve got this! I’m in my third trimester now and this is my 4th (1 born in law school and this is my second during my career)
I recommend these for prenatals. They have ginger built into them to help with nausea! I had ZERO morning sickness or nausea this pregnancy using these. I also drink mushroom coffee instead of regular that way I get a little energy and a lot of focus. I use the DOSE brand.
thank you!! My obgyn tells all her patients to take theranatal (but they look very similar), i’ll look into supplementing with ginger for nausea! Also the mushroom coffee could be a great add in for me esp with removing my adhd meds. Thanks again

What was your plan when you got pregnant for going off of a prescription and scrapping caffeine? Have you worked with a therapist to come up with other supports for managing your ADHD? Are you trying supplements? This wasn’t a surprise pregnancy…

Apropos of nothing but people who are randomly mean and judgmental don’t always make the best parents. Just saying a random fact out loud!
Congrats!! I stopped taking my adderall too (and still am off because of breastfeeding). it's hard but the end result makes it alllll so worth it. Happy for you!!
thank you!!
