Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?
Hi all, Recently i interviewed at Adobe for the post of computer scientist, Noida location. Had 5 technical rounds, but after that i didnt get any further response. One of HR called me and asked me to wait for a day or 2 last week, she gave me the reason that there are some issues going on in company. It's been 2 weeks now and i haven't got any response from them, i have been following up on mail and call, but there is no response either. What could be the reason ?? Any adobe folk out there ??

Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

Never be honest about your floor or that’s what they’ll offer. Have you discussed signing bonus? Maybe ask for 15k, they’ll say no, and you can counter with smaller signing and bigger salary base
Percentage should be 20-30% for Senior promotion. You really should stay until Senior before leaving. I know it is rough in B4 but it is worth staying that extra year.
They are pricing in the idea you are a low performer being counseled out of the firm. If this isn’t the case it’s an indication you should stay longer.
What market ? Ask for 85 and see what they come back with. 15% is too low esp coming from B4. $ > title bt dubs
@d4 and pwc12, if this is the case you both don’t know what lcol truly is. B4 typically don’t have lcol offices. They may have lower col offices compared to their other offices but very few if any true col offices. Most B4 offices are mcol or hcol so not really comparable.I’m talking about cities in a col index of 80-90.
Too low - your going to be making less than a senior in public accounting.
KPMG1, be patient, you’re getting a raise and VC is a few weeks.
Leave PwC for another firm for $9k more? Yeah it’s 15% but it’s only $9k. No no no - it’s gotta be double that.
Just ask PwC for more to stay
Senior associates in MCOL are getting offers for $90-95k. I’ve made two jumps in public accounting, the first one got me a 50% bump and the second one got me a 40% bump. Don’t leave unless you are getting a 30%+ bump.
@B1 medium cost of living area
They gave you exactly what you asked for. Learning lesson for next time to not play your cards like that.
You’re right. It’s my first time changing jobs so lessons learned.
Also, audit or tax?
A2 are you in specialty tax?
I went mid market to big 4 and got 30%, sorry but 15% is not nearly enough. Ask for more, if they say no then please walk away knowing you’re worth more.
In this market you should have a lot of confidence. You can always negotiate down and in this case you can (and should) negotiate up. Just let them know you did more research and feel like your salary is more in line with X. Best they say is no, and you can accept the 70k or move on.
just my opinion… good luck and congrats
Too less for tax
That’s pretty low but it’s also on you for cutting your legs off. If you weren’t going to be willing to take it, why did you ask for that ? Apply higher at another firm or say you’re leaving and potentially they will match/give you higher where you are
15% is way to low, would recommend you ask for a bit more
Decline the offer
You really should ask for 100k.
Agreed
I recently negotiated a higher salary after receiving what I had technically asked for however I had multiple offers in hand and stated to the firm I wanted to go to that I know I had stated that my expectation was x dollar amount but I have an offer from another firm for x dollar amount. I really would prefer to work with your firm as I think our ideals and goals for the future align better however I do need to take the financial aspect into consideration. Please let me know if you have time to discuss sometime this week this work for me I negotiated my starting salary to about 10k higher than my expectations with killer benefits
Got 80k first year tax senior
I left big 4 as a senior to my current firm for 60% increase. Ask for more than you think!
What are your long term goals? Are you leaving for the money or the new role or dislike of current role? If it’s only the money, I’ll tell you 15% jump prob isn’t really significant enough. But good luck either way. Maybe see if you can ask for more in case you do really want this new job maybe lie and say PWC gave you a counter offer ??
No offense this whole thing is a bad idea.
