Do tcs provide any early joining bonus?
Hello guys,
Today I had salary negotiation with Capgemini , they are offering 15 lpa with 10% variable. I feel this is a bit low based on current market standards. I asked for 20 initially, but they are not willing to go beyond 15 without any counter offer. HR flat out rejected 20 saying business will not approve. what is the max they will give after providing counter offer? And if i join around November, when will i be eligible for next appraisal? They are offering c1 band.

I’ve worked at Deloitte and Booz and there really isn’t a huge difference. At least in the federal space. In my experience, the folks at Deloitte drank a lot more and wore suits more often. I think the biggest difference is you can get a top performance rating at Booz by killing it with your client work instead of having to do all the extra firm contribution stuff that Deloitte requires.
I spent 5yr at BAH. What do they want you for? Where in the business? What level? True consulting or staff aug? What’s your geography? I never experienced BAH as particularly social, certainly not beyond my immediate team, and I was there in my mid/late 20s before marriage/kids, so I would certainly have been receptive to it. You basically get a day at Kings Dominion. 🤷♀️

Another thing to consider is how you would justify being at three different comparable firms over three years when future employers ask.

Ehhh. If someone is just starting out not really an issue. If someone is around manager level then more of an issue.
Can you at least negotiate with BAH to match the money you are losing out on drom the bonus?

Some offices have more events than others but by and large the focus on WLB means we don’t have a lot of scheduled team get togethers/happy hours. Plus there’s stricter rules on firm-paid alcohol.
Booz also moves super slow. You might be able to time this where you keep your Deloitte bonus.
This is the DC area. I am asking to move the sign on after a year so I don't lose my entire bonus but they do need me for a position. I'd be going from a consultant at deloitte to senior consultant at Booz. I like the benefits at Deloitte but I the initiatives can take their toll. One thing I like was that i feel like I can switch projects easier here, that being said I haven't had to yet. I heard Booz it can be rough to change.

SC at Booz is equivalent to C at D— I think Associate at Booz is equivalent to D’s SC.
TBH 15% is what I would expect in a regular bonus season. BAH doesn’t have bonuses.
