Just got laid off today, after getting fintech companies $75 Million in pipeline and revenue.


Pretty much what the title says, I just laid off from Canada's fastest growing fintech company, to whom I and my team were able to score $75 Million in funding.



The feedback provided in call was to do with KPI that were neither mine or my team's to own.

And, Worst part of it, all this happened a day before my birthday.


Now, to find companies again.

Will companies know that you got laid off if they do a background check?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. I’ve been lay off this afternoon because low performance, it just two weeks ago I talked to my manager and told her that she’s micromanaging me a lot and I need more autonomy at my work. Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support.
