How do you all role out your ERG
Hi everyone! I have a few questions on submitting the visa appointment fee expense for reimbursement in DTE: Can we submit an expense for our spouse’s visa appointment (they’re on H4)? I am from India and in order to pay the visa fee I used the NEFT option to pay but the Indian bank account my brother’s. What receipt will be accepted in DTE? I don’t think there’s any receipt that we received. It was just my brother initiated the transfer from his Deloitte" class="linkified" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" >account.Deloitte

Visa sponsorship is always an issue
Visa sponsorship is definitely an issue! But I would say you dodged a bullet there. I’ve heard so many negative stuff about culture
I interviewed at LEK before and left the interview thinking I did really well and hit it off with the folks I talked to just to find out 2 weeks later I wasn’t invited back for a second round. Strange.
I'm sorry it didn't go through. You already have a reasonable explanation for some factors that might explain their decision.
I found job hunting to be a bit of a lottery and a numbers game. I'm confident you'll find success elsewhere, at the very least. Good luck!

Sponsorship would not be an issue. I’ve given many LSS interviews and the simple truth is that the bar is just really high, and our offer rate is really low.
It’s really a combination of everything. We put a lot of weight on fit, structure, and confidence…. And honestly how smart we think you are. How you answer ad hoc questions for example matters a lot to me.
From what I know - LEK doesn’t sponsor unless you’re a phd or mba grad. They did not move forward after the first round Upon learning that I need sponsorship.
LEK sponsors people with grad degrees. So it would not be an issue.
Similarly, I’ve done hundreds of interviews for LEK and I’ve never even seen a candidate’s visa status. We never decide based on that.
LEK is great, but there are other firms (generalist and boutiques) that do great work in the Life sciences including, but not limited to, BCG/McKinsey, EY-P, S&, Clearview, ZS, Putnam, Health advances etc. Part of interviewing is playing the numbers game. The more you interview, the greater the likelihood of getting an offer (or more). If you reached final rounds at LEK, you probably are ready to interview with other firms. MBB, EY-P also sponsor visas, not so sure about other firms.
Totally agree here. IQVIA, CRA and Trinity, apart from the ones mentioned above also sponsor work visas
If it is the visa sponsorship, they would have not move you forward especially to the partner round (final round). So it’s likely due to your performance. That said, freezing periods is 5 or 6 months I believe
ClearView is a great alternative and we’re actively hiring to build our London office!
Already in the interview process haha
I have an MBA and didn’t even get past the first conversation once they found out I’m on H1B. And I have it already!
Back in the day, LEK wasn’t e-verified. So you couldn’t use STEM OPT extension at LEK. I am not sure if they changed this now, but worth checking into
STEM OPT is for people who come to the USA on a student visa. You get 12 months of training period (OPT) after your education and can extend it for an additional 24 months during if you have an education in STEM (called as STEM OPT extension). To be eligible for STEM OPT extension, your employer needs to be e-verified, which is a type of registration with the government. In 2019 when I was applying for consutling roles, LEK was not e-verified and thus you can only get a 12 month OPT, and not a STEM OPT extension. The implication of this is that you only get 1 shot for the H1B (work visa), where as if you have STEM OPT extension, you get two additional attempts.
Thank you all for the replies!
