Just had a terrible phone interview with a recruiter, she was completely checked out and not enthusiastic at all about talking to me. Should I just proactively pass on this job or see if I get an interview with the creative team? I don't want another demoralizing "we're moving forward with other candidates" email.

I had the HR discussion almost 2 weeks back...and now I am getting all the emails like welcome to hcl and documents upload for background check, joining form submission etc....but have not received the offer letter yet...

Just want to know is this the normal process..do they release the offer after uploading BGV docs??

Had my virtual on-site for an S&O L3 role 3.5 weeks ago (NYC, 5 YOE). I haven’t heard back on a decision yet, and was wondering how long it typically takes? I also know that I was one of the very first candidates to interview for this specific role, and there are atleast 2 more people scheduled for onsites. Does the recruiter typically wait for all candidates to finish their onsites before communicating a decision? Or if I haven’t heard back yet, it’s probably a reject?

My project at a FAANG company completes the end of this month. PSA - We are headed into a self-imposed economic slow down. Now is not the time to lateral but if you do, I would make sure you are at a recession-proof practice or firm. The top law firms will be okay (they always are) but if you are part of a larger group of associates with no work, you are likely to be axed. Latham did it in the 2008 and 2011 and it will happen again. If you are an associate or really anyone but a rainmaker, you are expendable.

Other good markets that pay well enough to match the income taxes? BF and I just finished our state taxes and that IL tax hike was not cool to our current salaries..

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't?
