Most attorneys do not have a passion for what they do. A job is just a job. If you are making good money, have good work life balance, and don’t hate where you work, I think you are in a good place/a place most attorneys wish they were in.
I’m in the same boat, I understand your struggle!
The money is better here than where I was before but I just don’t have the passion for it.
Take advantage of the routine nature by asking for more complex assignments. Taking depos, expert disclosures, dispositive motions. That's where the value is in these types of jobs
Hmmm everyone i know who works in PI isn't really passionate about the work, they love the money. I will say we have had some big cases where the settlement significantly changed the persons life and in that regard it can be fullfilling, but for the most part I think my attorneys would say they do it for the money.
