Just started studying for the CPA for the first time. First exam is AUD and will be taking it in July. Any tips on how to pass on the first attempt?

You have to commit. I studied for 8 hours on weekends and 3 hours 4 days after work. I took Fridays off unless I had to shuffle my schedule around.

I wouldn’t schedule your exam until you’re closer to being ready. It kind of takes a little pressure off.

Come up with a good schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?
Or do I just go the college professor route? Wouldn’t mind working @ BNA or something like that either but I’m seriously fed up with everything about tax compliance and can’t keep doing this
