As going through the interviews process as an experienced hire, do recruiters just email you with the offer or call you first and then email you details later on?

I have one query, i received survey mail from ey gds regarding joining date and location preference, so it mean iam selected or any other round happens? Because i give self recorded video interview on 7th feb and i recive survey mail on 7th March which i filled on same day and in joining date there are two options 25 March and 25 April ,wheres i select 25 april but there is no communication after survey mail so what should i do?

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

I attended a client interview last week and was selected for the same. Now they are asking to join within a day or two. I'm having my mom's surgery this week. How to safely refuse to join this client project for at least 10 days. I can't take leave for 10 days.

Sometimes I feel like I over prepare for these interviews in that I prepare for the wrong thing. Expected to throw down some answers to technical questions and it ended up all being culture and fit related

However , they are now asking me for immediate joining which is not possible(as per HR) as i am serving notice period of which less then 45days are left.
I have made this clear on day 1 to the recruiters
One more thing, they are not offering any decent package
Eg- Deloitte is offering 15LPA for a 7.5yrs exp Scrum Master

With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
