Kind up upsetting that you dont get the same help from the SAVE plan if you file your taxes jointly. My best friend and her husband file separately and she only pays $5 per month for her loans because it only counts her income. They make WAY more than me and my husband do combined. But i pay $150 per month because me and my husband file our taxes together, not being on the SAVE plan. SAVE plan quoted me $350+ per month. 9 more years until PSFL forgives my loans working at a nonprofit. Ugh!

Any tax accountants/attorneys in here? What would happen to the 401k of a foreign worker if they cannot longer maintain an immigration status and have to go back home? What about a ROTH 401k? Assuming they made after-tax contributions, would they still be able to take tax-free distributions if they are non-resident aliens for tax purposes?

I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

LCSW 50k loan repayment- Has anyone been granted a contract through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program?
